We are delighted to announce that Upminster Hockey Club are one of the first clubs in London to have been accredited in the England Hockey ClubMark award. It is a great achievement and has given the club a fantastic platform to develop and grow the game.
Through the accreditation, the club has demonstrated that we operate in a safe, inclusive, fun environment; providing evidence that we can deliver quality hockey opportunities for our membership and out in the community.
Commenting on our submission England Hockey said
“Well done to Upminster HC and in particular Bella for pulling this together in record time since first starting to upload documents. The development plan is a strong document and we are confident the club can progress through following this plan, in particular we are impressed with the way the action plan has been pulled out as a standalone workable document.”
Over the past season, the club’s committee have been working on a 3 year development plan which we are really pleased to share with our membership. The Club would like to thank Isabella Boyle for the enormous amount of time and effort she has been put into this process on our behalf. Bella has ensured that Upminster are one of the first clubs in London to be granted the ClubMark status, which given how many clubs there are within the region, is a great achievement.
Thank you to all club members that supported our ClubMark submission. The outstanding submission was based on the efforts of our volunteers who organise and run matches, coach, organise our pitches, equipment, umpiring, welfare administration and social events.
