The game was a fairly tight affair with neither team really testing the others goalkeeper during the first half, which was not helped by the monsoon like weather which got so bad that the floodlights were turned on before push-back despite the game starting at midday.
Upminster gradually found their feet and adjusted better to the conditions in a dominant second half performance which saw them control the game – the pressure finally told via a short corner, O. Cipa saw his drag-flick saved me the Crostyx goalkeeper which dropped kindly to A.Mitchell how dispatched it coolly into the vacant net. After this point the 3 points never looked in doubt as Upminster continued to run proceedings – the result was confirmed via a second that came via a reverse stick strike by S.Wright, which got more than a little deflection of a defenders stick to find it’s way into the goal.
