About us

At Upminster Hockey Club, we can promise you a friendly welcome and the opportunity to play hockey at a range of levels, covering the entire spectrum of “full-on competitive” to “full-on sociable”, for both genders and all age groups.

Coaching

We have qualified coaches for all levels of training (secondary school year 3 through to 1st 11′s) and an active program to develop more coaches.

Social

Our Easter 7s and Boxing Day tournaments held outside our clubhouse ensure that the sadly fading skills necessary for playing grass hockey are being preserved in Upminster. For those who prefer a little less activity and maybe a small beverage we run a full schedule of social events throughout the season from Music Quizzes, Bingo Nights and our Annual Dinner & Dance.

Directions

From M25/J29: take A127 London bound. Take left turn signposted Upminster after approx half a mile. Follow road into Upminster, approx 1 mile, and cross directly over traffic lights in centre of village. Continue on with church then park on right, turning first right into Stewart Avenue for parking. Take cut through between houses into park where pavilion is situated.

From M25/J29: take A127 London bound, take immediate left (50 yards) into Front Lane. Continue for 1 mile until mini-roundabout, turn right into St Mary’s Lane (A124) and the school is on the left. Parking is at the front of the school.

Directions

From M25/J29: take A127 London bound, continue westbound on the A127 for approx 2 miles. Take Slight left onto Wingletye Lane and follow for approx 1 mile. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Wych Elm Rd and the school is at the bottom of the road. Parking is on the right hand side.
