October 8th, Ladies 4s versus Waltham Forest 3s, what a game! Waltham Forest had quick and skilled players, but our Ladies 4s stepped up and quickly worked together to play around the opposition and take control of the game. Goals came from mid-field players who have been seeking goals all season and finally got their chance. Vickie Paxton scoring two goals, one from an amazing rebound shot at goal. Lola Bates scored her one goal by positioning herself strongly on the post and looking for that perfect deflection. Megan Desmond returned after maternity leave and post-wedding celebrations to dominate her side of the pitch and score a fantastic goal. Ladies 4s won 4-2, remain top of the league, and will hopefully keep up this level of play. Well done ladies, I’m a very proud Captain!
