A hat-trick from captain Megan Miller and a last touch of the game goal from Freya Long gave UHC Ladies 1s their first win of the season away at Dereham Hockey Club.
After going 1-3 down UHC rallied and managed to fight back to take all 3 points. After Miller had completed her hat-trick from a Penalty Corner, Open Play & Penalty Flick both teams searched to find the winner. Fortunately for the U’s they forced a Penalty Corner right on the final whistle. The injection went to captain Miller who managed to find Freya Long on the back post to deflect it past the despairing Dereham goalkeeper.
After 2 lengthy road trips in the last 2 weeks, Upminster Ladies 1s are back home on Saturday and face City of Peterborough Ladies 1s at 2.30pm.
