What type of sticks

Wood – perfect for starting off hockey and young players Under 10s
Fiberglass – man made product which is the basis of most “Composite” sticks for Under 14s
Carbon – This material gives the stick its power, making the stick stiffer the more there is in the stick for the Senior Players

Bows/Bends

The Bow of the stick (the stick bend from the handle to the toe) benefits every area of the game equally, while a more dramatic bow (Low and Extreme Low) creates a more dramatic head angle, to assist controlling the ball, lifting the ball, performing aerials, and drag flicking.

Mid Bow – Beginner players
Low Bow – Mid-High-level players
Extreme Bow – Advanced players

Stick Weight

This is personal preference and attacking players tend to go for Lighter sticks whilst defending players tend to go for medium.
