A hat-trick from Ollie Peck and a strike from 13 year old, Lewis Munn propelled Upminster 5 to the top of Division 6SE. Missing a number of regulars, Upminster started brightly with Peck converting a short corner in the second minute. Peck doubled his tally from a penalty flick after a Jacob Eade shot had been blocked on the goal line by an Old Lought’s foot. Peck secured his hat-trick before the half time whistle from another short corner.
In the second half Upminster applied further pressure, but it was in the dying minutes of the game that they added to their tally with Peck assisting Munn to score in his first game for the 5s.
Upminster will now face Thurrock 2 in a top of the table clash next week.
