After the announcement earlier this week, it is looking very positive for hockey to be re-starting soon with the message below posted on the East League website.
The East League Management Committee have noted the Government announcement of moving out of lock down back (on 2nd December) to Tiers and are delighted we have permission to Return to Play.
Unfortunately we now have to wait until tomorrow for what the new Tier structure will look like and whether any areas in the East Region have had their Tier level increased and the impact this may or may not have on clubs in our League.
We ask all clubs for their patience with the League, but also ask clubs and their players to be mobilised. Playing on the 5th will be a big ask, but we hope we will be able to play in some shape or form on the 12th December (which is the League’s first slip date).
Once we have a better understanding of our tier and the how this affects Upminster Hockey Club, we will share with you all.
