Huge congratulations to 1st Team and U16 player Robyn Hodges who has been selected to represent U15 Saxon Tigers at the England Futures Cup tournament over the summer holidays.
Futures Cup is an annual four-day tournament for some of the best junior hockey players in the country. Players are selected to represent their region in four squads; Mercia Lynx, Pennine Pumas, Saxon Tigers and Wessex Leopards. Squads from Scotland and Wales will also be attending the tournament with Caledonian Cougars and Celtic Jaguars joining the English regional teams.
This is also not only a great opportunity for Robyn to play with and against the best girls in the UK, but also a chance to impress the national junior coaches, who will be using this tournament to ultimately select their England U16 squad for next year.

St Albans Hockey Club, based at Oaklands College will host this years Futures Cup Tournament, which runs 23rd – 26th August. If you’re around this summer come and support the Saxon Tiger girls. With pubs, restaurants and shopping in the immediate area, it’d make for a great day out!
