Saturday saw Upminster Mens 6’s host a strong Thurrock side in their second game of their debut season. Despite fielding a team mainly of youngsters, Upminster were two goals up by half time, thanks to Max Malby and Paul Middlemiss.
The second half saw Thurrock change formation and despite the best efforts of Ollie Johnson, Oliver Jones, Zachary Lawes, Rafael Uzal, Noah Honeywell and Joseph Warren, Thurrock scored two goals. With the brilliance of Ewan Lowrie in goal with a string of key saves, the game finished 2- 2. Lots of positives to take forward to our future fixtures, especially the sublime aerial pass from Lewis Munn to relieve the pressure in defence in the final moments of the game.
